I am so redy for the weather to stay nice outside. We fully took advantage of the weather last week. Caleb had such a good time playing with all of his outside toys including his fish pole that stays outside because if not we get hit in the head. Any way Bring IT On Spring!!!!

Caleb had to get glasses! When we carried back to Dr. Elsas last week he said his close vision was turning in more on his left eye. So we went and picked up his glasses today. He has really done well with them. He kept them on longer than I thought he would. It makes him look more like a little man to me. Maybe he will continue to keep them on like he should.

They had a Christmas Play to help raise money for the Daycare Playground. Caleb was the star of the show. His class was the carolers and played in some fake snow. Caleb wanted to take the stuffing out of the snowman. They raised over $800 Dollars!

O.K. I know I am running way behind on my posts. I hope I can get caught up before we start back to school. This Christmas has went by so fast, and it just doesn't seem like it should be over now. We were BLESSED this year with so much. Caleb just gets bigger everyday. He thinks he is such a big boy. I have always called him moma's little baby boy and he now tells me no big boy. He is growing up before my eyes! These are a few pictures from early December. We joked and said we would leave the Christmas tree up year round beacause Caleb is a ham in front of it. He will stand in front of it and say cheese, when he normally will not stand still for a picture. I hope everyone had a Wonderful, Blessed Christmas.

This was everyone dressed up this year. Darby being the tomboy she is had to be a football player. Kennedy was actually a Grandma with a baby at school, but changed to the witch costume when she got home. Jesse was I don't know, but Caleb was scared to death of him to begin with. My mother made Caleb's Costume and I am really proud of her and the attention that she gives it. She really put her all into it.

I'm a little behind on posting my Halloween Pictures. Caleb dressed up like a pirate this year. With him still wearing the patch we have to tell him he's a pirate all the time. So it just came natural. Even though he had already wore his patch for the day. He had a great time and got lots of candy. The one by the Christmas Tree is an annual picture. One of my friends has to have her tree up by Halloween so we always have to make a picture.

We wanted to wait until Caleb had our last name before we had Baby Dedication. So his ended up being Toddler Dedication. We just knew he would be running all over the Church trying to get to the Nursery. The longest he's made it in big Church is just past the announcements. He did really well with it even though his bottom lip was quivering just a tad. We were so proud of him and the fact he has our last name!!!

We went to the Beach for Fall Break again this year. Caleb really enjoyed the beach! We didn't get to go this summer so i am so glad we did get to go. The weather was perfect. No rain just bright sunshine. He did enjoy the pool alot better than the ocean, but I'm sure that will change in the years to come. We ate, played, and sleept. What more could you want. I'm going to try to pick my favorites for each day so it might take me a while to post all of them.

Well after MANY months and court dates and alot of bull it is finally official. Caleb is a Shew!!!! I have tried for a week to try to get the perfect picture and he will not cooperate. If you don't know his story we were BLESSED to have him come into our lives when he was 3 months old. He is now 28 months old and we don't know what we would do without him. He is just the funniest human being there is. Everything he does just tickles us to death. He is all boy and all about trucks and tractors and running and sweating and ball. Spoiled Rotten. We always said he would always stay in his bed at night. One time this summer we told him it was bedtime and he went and got in our bed. He's been there ever since. Right in the middle. He talks some and says something new everyday, but he's still got some learning to do. He pee-pee's in the potty and has poo-pooed twice but by accident. I'm not really pushing the issue right now. It'll come when it's time. I have so enjoyed our time with him. God has his plan and right now it is to raise him up into a good Christian boy. RaeLeigh will be here in her own time. I only hope we are still young enough to be able to keep up with her!

This is Miss Lauryn Leigh Gay!! She belongs to our friends in Mobile, Jerry & Leigh Ann. We had plans to go and visit them for the Labor Day Weekend, but we had to leave early because of the weather. We did get to spend some time with them just not as much as we thought we would. Traffic was horrible on the way home. We left there about 2:30 and did not get home until 11:00! Hope they do not any damage from Gustav.

We had to carry Caleb to a Pediatric Optometrist Monday for his left eye. On occasion we would notice that it would turn inward. He said that it wasn't bad enough for surgery, but did want to try to make the vision in that eye better. So we get to be a pirate for 2 hours a day. He has done really well with it. He tries to take it off but when you divert his attention he'll keep it on.

Darby Graduated from 5th Grade this year. I can't believe she will be in Middle School! She Loves to play Softball. We didn't get to go to many games because they were all so late. Thursday was Caleb's 2nd Birthday. Can you believe it? I know I am the worst Blogger in the world to wait this long till I posted, but right now I have no time. At the end of the day I go to bed when Caleb does. Who would have thought I would be going to bed at 8 O' Clock. Not me that's for old people. He had a wonderful Birthday. We had his party at the park in Glencoe. He loved playing with all of the kids. In fact he really didn't even care about opening presents. He wanted to run and play. We all had a wonderful time.

I have said it before and I'll say it again. Caleb is truly a BLESSING for Blake and I. I don't know what we would do without him. He is SO funny and amazing to watch grow. I hope for many more Birthdays to be able to spend with him.

Easter is such a busy fun day. Caleb had to have a little help with the egg hunt, but he was pretty good at it. We got way to much candy and will be on a sugar high for a while.

We had a Court Hearing last Wednesday with Caleb. The Appeal came back and it had been particaly reversed on the visitation part. The Hearing was to set regular visitations. The Dad did not show up, so that is Wonderful News. Just a few steps more and we can give Caleb a new name. So still keep us in your Prayers.

We had a great New Year today. I carried some coloring pages for Caleb's class to color. Then I tried to take a picture of him with one I colored, he crumbled it up into a ball. When we got home we whatched "Ni Hao, Kai-Lan", we Loved it. I have the season to tape on DVR. Maybe we will have more of a Chinese vocabulary by the time we get to travel. I also want to Thank Miss Mary Jane for monograming Caleb a Rat on his T-Shirt. He was looking down at it in the third picture. We've been inside all weekend because of the cold weather. I am a little disapointed because of the lack of Snow we were supposed to have. We had more fun last Wednesday than we did yesterday. Caleb did get to wear a cute sweater to Church today since it was so cold outside. I just wanted to post a few pictures from a few weeks ago. There are some from him raking the leaves, at one of Darby's ballgames, and playing in the snow.

Caleb had his first haircut today. We carried him to Blake's Barber John. Both of our Mother's cut hair so not to hurt any feelings we carried him to him. He cried the whole time and they where real tears. He looks like a little man now. Too Cute For Words!!!

The first pictures are of Christmas Morning before Caleb woke up. He felt so bad he didn't even open all of his presents until the day after Christmas. Next were at Blake's Grandmother's house with her and Blake's Mother and her Husband Bobby. And the last ones are of Christmas with my family and Kennedy and Darby. You can tell in the pictures of Caleb how bad he felt. Two major Holidays this year resulted in fevers. First Easter and then Christmas!! Maybe next year will be a better season for him.

Christmas was very BLESSED this year with Caleb still with us. Hopefully at the first of the year we can start the adoption process with him. Although Caleb started running a fever between 101 and 103 on Christmas Eve and ended with a doctors appt. the day after Christmas. He is back to his normal WILD self now except he still doesn't have his appetite back. And he didn't have a good one to start with. Unless it's junk food. I try so hard to get him to eat good for you food. But Max ends up with it all compliments of Caleb. I hope everyone had a great Holiday and I really miss all of our China Buddies. Maybe the New Year will bring us all closer to our little ones!!

We had alot of fun trick or treating with family tonight. Dr. Caleb was wore out by the time we made it home. He got lots of treats that will have him on a sugar high for weeks. My Mother made all the costumes except for the Nerd and Tinkerbell. She always has a good time making all their costumes!! Blake made a good Joe Dirt. It was really my Sisters Husbands costume and I bet he really fit the part. Kennedy was a Glamour Witch (Thirteen going on Thirty). Darbs was a nerd, but the cutest one I've ever seen. Mother of course was the pirate,and Blakes Grandmother was the Clown. We had a very busy night, and I can honestly say I'm glad it only comes once a year!! And can you beleive our good friend Heather already has her Christmas Tree up! We miss not getting to see Gan Gann on Halloween. It's her favorite time of year. Maybe next year she'll come see us.

The time that we are waiting for Raeleigh seems to get slower everyday. I see so much that I want to get her, but I have tried not to go overboard. And I don't think I have. It is just so hard not knowing what time of the year and how big she will be when we get her. I love all these summer dresses and I could not help but buy a couple of them. My Mother can sew anything. She is one of these people that can look at something and then go home and make it. She has always made my neices Easter, Christmas, and whatever dresses. She brought me Raeleigh's first dress a couple of weeks ago and I love it. I told her I liked simple dresses and well she made it simple all right. All White. But at any rate I LOVE IT! She is working on a black and white checked with Ladybugs on it right now. I can't wait to see it!

Well we are just moving right along. Here it is last of September. Fall break is just around the corner. It seems that time is flying by, but our wait for Raeleigh is so slow. I am just so thankful that we have Caleb to help pass the time. There has been so much happening since school started. Caleb had tubes put in his ears which went great until we sat him down and he took a nose dive into the trash can. I'll post pictures later. Then I went for my first Mammogram in August and have to have a Biopsy done at Brookwood tomorrow. Dr. Winchester thinks that it is nothing to worry about, but sometimes you just can't help to. Other than that everything is business as usual. Caleb is soooo busy. He does not stop from the time he wakes until he goes to bed. But I LOVE IT! I'll go for now. Talk Soon!!

End of Summer

Yes it its offically the end of summer as we know it. Although it is just now reaching the 100 degree mark, we are back in school. My sister Kim and I did make a last minute trip to the beach last weekend. We left Thursday and come back Sunday for me to be at work at 7:30 Monday morning. And boy was it a long week. We had so much fun on our Beach trips. Caleb loved the sand and the ocean. I think he only ate two hands of sand. But he chewed it very well. On our second trip he got to eat his first Ice Cream Cone and LOVED it. All of my favorite pictures will not post on rock you because of file size so I will but them on the regular way. I have really enjoyed my Summer Of Caleb and truthfully I am not ready for it to be over. But we need the insurance so it's off to work we go!! I hope everyone has a Wonderful and Blessed Year!!

We got news yesterday that we now have Full Custody of Caleb. What a blessing it has been to have him in our life, and I can not wait to wake up everyday day to see what he's going to learn to do that day. He changes so much now. We're Still Here

It has been so long since I have posted, and I have no excuse. I usually go straight to bed after Caleb goes to sleep. So I'm just going to have to make time. My time during the day is spent chasing him around the house. He is not walking yet, but it is just a matter of days now I think. We've been out of school a little over a week and he is already spoiled. I am so looking forward to this summer.

You'll have to be patient with my pictures. I can only get one or two to download at a time. And I'm not that great with the computer anyway. My only hope when we go to China is that Dr. Mintz is still around!!

His First Birthday was May 15th. We have such a wonderful family. He has so much stuff to play with now it's not even funny. My Mother got him the Cozy Coupe, Blake's Mother got him a red wagon that we have to take wagon rides in EVERY DAY, Blake's Dad and Step-Mom and Brother gave him an Owl Tunnel that he can drag around the house by himself.

Please keep us in your Prayers we have a Custody Hearing this Wednesday. What a way to spend our 15th Anniversary!!

Well I hate to say that Spring Break is over. We had such a good time this week. Except for the Stomach Virus Caleb had at the first of the week. But just being at home was peaceful and relaxing. It really has me ready for summer to hurry up and get here. The weather was so nice this year. You couldn't have asked for anything better. We stayed outside alot, went shopping, and spent some time with Gan Gan (Blake's Mother). It just makes me wonder and hope that we have Raeleigh by this time next year. Hope everyone had a Great Week. I missed our Meet and Eat. I hope we have another one soon!

Bath Time

The hat being backwards is the only way he will leave it on his head. Even then it was just because he forgot it was there. As soon as he realized it was on his head off it went.

Caleb has graduated to the big bath tub now. He loves to splash in the water. I can't wait until this summer so we can see how he does in the pool. I bet he will like it. Summer can not get here soon enough. This school year seems to dragging by. A.E.A will be a welcome relief.

We went to our first Chinese New Year Party. What a blast! To see all the kids together and having so much fun was great. All the little girls in their Chinese outfits were just adorable. Caleb had a great time running in his walker. There was so much room for him to go he didn't know where to go first. Life is such a blessing, I hope that we get to enjoy Raeleigh's first new year with her next year.

My Mother bought Caleb his Camo suit. Blake isn't really a hunter, but what man doesn't want his little boy to wear something camo. Max is also in a few pictures. He is our Westie who only gets jealous at bedtime. I have never had a dog who loves to lay in the bed as much as him. He would stay there all day long if we would let him. He is really good with Caleb. He stays right there with us where ever we are in the house.

Cheese Puffs

We have discovered Cheese Puffs. Caleb Loves them. He will talk and laugh up a storm when we give them to him. The pictures say it all. I can break them in pieces and it wouldn't be so messy, but he has so much fun with the whole one.

Caleb's cousin Kennedy bought him this cute little t-shirt. He says thank-you Kennedy, he thinks it makes him look like a cool kid in it. It just fits him now. We had a good week. Caleb's cold is finally getting better. He doesn't have to have his nose wipped every 2 seconds now. He is getting so big so fast. He'll be going to college next week I think.

We had a China get together Saturday at Tina and Bert's House. THANK YOU for having all of there to welcome Sophie home. She looks and acts so happy. All of the kids played so good together. And of course I think they are the cutest girls around. I can not wait for all of the play dates and watching them have a great time. We really missed our friend Kim who was at home sick. I hope you are feeeling better soon!! Gina was being the great teacher I know she is and helping Sophie learn a new trick. Roberta surprised us all again with the news they will be getting two boys when they travel in April or May. Wow! How wonderful. Robin the girls are just as beautiful as ever. And Lisa, Emma is the sweetest little girl. I LOVE spending time with all of you. Tracey I hope you hear from your LID date soon. Everyone have a great week and I hope to see you all soon!

It's the Weekend!!

Our brown envelope come in the mail today. I know it is still forever before we get to go to China, but it does make it feel a little closer. We have been looking at China Blogs all week at work. I think they like looking at all the babies as much as I do. Weekends are our favorite time right now. That is until summer gets here. Caleb had his first teething biscuit tonight. As you can see he liked it. He ate most of it and Max finished it off for him. He has two bottom teeth and three top teeth that are just now coming in. Needless to say he has been letting us know how much it hurts. We are venturing out more. Last weekend we went to Darby's Basketball game, and Kennedy's this weekend. He loves watching other kids play. Next weekend we get to see Sophie and the Pink Drangonette's. Can't wait to see everyone!!
